An honest, evidence-focused look at this topic — not a product recommendation.
Down syndrome does not appear among the recognized indications published by hyperbaric medicine organizations for clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We think it's important to say that plainly and up front, before anything else on this page.
Hyperbaric oxygen has been researched by some parents and independent investigators as a potential supportive therapy for children with Down syndrome, exploring outcomes such as motor and cognitive development. To date, this research has not established HBOT as an effective or recommended treatment for Down syndrome, and results across available studies have been mixed and limited in scope.
We are not going to market a chamber as a treatment for Down syndrome, imply that it can, or encourage a purchase decision based on this topic. Doing so would misrepresent the evidence and the purpose of our products.
Talk with your child's pediatrician, developmental specialist, or geneticist about what the current evidence does and doesn't support, and about therapies with an established evidence base for your child's specific needs.
We sell wellness and professional hyperbaric equipment and are not a medical or research organization. This page exists to give families a straight answer, not to encourage a purchase.
